DAY 01 ARRIVAL – CHIANG MAI [-/L/D]
Chiang Mai
Arrive at Chiang Mai airport by TG 104 at 11:40 and transfer to Holiday Inn Chiang Mai Hotel or similar. After registration immediately depart from the hotel to visit Chiang Mai's best known temples complex, Wat Doi Suthep, located on the top of a modest mountain 15 kms northwest of the city. Lunch at a typical local restaurant. Proceed for a visit of the handicraft factories area in Sankampaeng and return to the hotel. Departure from hotel to enjoy a typical northern style Kantoke dinner with live performance of ancient dances and songs of various hilltribes. Overnight at Holiday Inn Chiang Mai hotel or similar.
DAY 02 CHIANG MAI – MAE HONG SON [B/L/D]
Breakfast at hotel
Departure Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son by flight TG 3412 (11:15-11:50 / operated by Nok Air). Arrive at Mae Hong Son and transfer to Golden Suite Resort or similar. Lunch at hotel. Visit to the Burmese-style temples Wat Jong Kham, Wat Jong Klang located next to a large pond in the southern part of town. Wat Jong Kham was built nearly 200 years ago by Shan people who make up about 50% of the population of Mae Hong Son. Wat Jong Klang houses 100-years-old glass paintings and woodcarvings from Burma which depict the various lives of the Buddha. Afterwards drive uphill to visit Wat Phra Dhat Doi Kong Moo offering a beautiful view over Mae Hong Son. Dinner and accommodation at the Golden Suite Resort or similar.

DAY 03 MAE HONG SON – CHIANG MAI [B/L/D]

Depart for visit the Khaya (Karen) hilltribe village of Ban Nai Soi. Optional elephant ride for one hour through the rice fields and jungle. Then to the Padong village, home of the Long Necked Padong tribe (Giraffe Women) wearing numerous brass rings around their elongated necks with a 4 wheels car. Lunch at the Bai Fern Restaurant. Drive Down to Sop Soi and then change onto the
longtailed speed boats for a one hour trip from the hanging bridge down the Pai River to Ban Huay Dua. Arrival at the Mae Hong Sorn Resort boat landing and transfer to Airport depart Mae Hong Son with flight TG 3415 (16:10-16:45 operated by Nok Air). Arrival in Chiang Mai and transfer to the hotel Dinner and accommodation at the Holiday Inn Chiang Mai hotel or similar.

DAY 04 CHIANG MAI – THATON – CHIANG RAI [B/L/D]

Departure to Thaton. On route stop to visit an Orchid Farm and on continue for a visit at an Elephant Camp. Lunch at Thatorn River View restaurant. Departure with a simple long-tailed motor boat on the Mekok River from Baan Thaton to Baan Pa Tai. Continue the trip by minibus to Chiang Rai, on route stops to visit Akha Tribe Village. Arrival in Chiang Rai. Dinner and accommodation at Phowadol Hotel or similar.

Departure to Mae Chan to visit the Yao and Akha hilltribe villages. Proceed to Mae Sai, the most northern Thai town on the Burmese border and visit of the local market and border point. Proceed to visit the Golden Triangle area on the bank of the Mekong River where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand borders meet. Return to Chiang Rai. On route brief stops to visit the archeological excavations and temples at Chiang Sean, the oldest northern Thailand city. Proceed to Chiang Rai airport to board the scheduled flight to Bangkok TG 135 (15.30 – 16.45 hrs).
